Alpha offers several evidence-based medications for type 2 diabetes and some cases of prediabetes. Alpha can also prescribe a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) to help you and your provider keep track of your glucose levels and see trends. Prescriptions can be sent to your local or preferred pharmacy.
For oral medications, the common drug classes we prescribe include Biguanides, Sulfonylureas, DPP-4 inhibitors, GLP-1 receptor agonists and SGLT2 inhibitors.
For injectable medications, the common drug classes we prescribe include GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide) and GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) receptor agonists.
