It’s tough to identify what specifically is causing your acne, but the location of your acne on your face can provide some potential information. Though there are no researched answers, here’s some information on what may be causing your acne on specific parts of your face :
Forehead and hairline: hair products, hair oils, shampoos, and conditioners that may be causing your pores to clog up
Cheeks: bacteria from phone, frequently touching your face, smoking, dirty pillows, dirty brushes
Nose: high concentration of oil glands
Lower cheeks/either side of the mouth: hormones and stress
Lips / Mouth: this could be due to your toothpaste; some people tend to break out when their skin comes into contact with sodium lauryl sulfate and/or sodium laureth sulfate, common ingredients in toothpaste
Chin / Jawline: hormonal imbalance (which could be related to PCOS), or stomach/gut health (too many heavy / rich foods)
