Dear Alpha Family,
The growing concerns about COVID-19 (coronavirus) have led several regions across the US to ask their citizens to shelter-in-place for the upcoming weeks. As such, many doctors’ offices are canceling non-essential visits. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the U.S. government have advised us all to practice social distancing in order to limit the spread of the virus. Online healthcare (telemedicine) services such as Alpha are a great resource, especially during this time. I’m reaching out to reassure you that the Alpha Team is going to continue to be here for you and for your medical needs.
Alpha will continue to help treat patients for primary care, women’s health, skin & hair, and mental health. Prescriptions will continue to be either delivered to your home for free or sent to your local pharmacy for pick up. Patient safety is our number one priority, and we want to reassure you that our partner pharmacies are taking extra precautions to put patient safety first.
Lastly, there has been a lot of new information — a lot of changes even hour by hour in regards to COVID-19. It can be frustrating, but it is our responsibility to be aware and do what is necessary to slow the spread of this virus. No one can do it alone; it will take cooperation from the public as a whole. When you are reviewing new information, I advise you to look at the source and consider its credibility. I recommend referencing the World Health Organization (WHO) or the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Alpha Team should you have any questions or concerns.
Stay healthy,
Dr. J
